Quick Notes: During PLUS tutoring sessions, students engage with two primary types of activities on i-Ready: Lessons & Quizzes. Both rely heavily on engaging methods like animations, storyboards, and games for concept explanation and knowledge testing.

1️⃣ A Glimpse into an i-Ready Lesson

Example: Least Common Multiple Lesson for Grade 6

1.1 Learning Objective:

Each lesson begins with a clear learning target. Some may start with animated stories or activities relevant to the lesson’s goal.

1.2 Interactive Gameplay:

For example, the LCM lesson features an engaging game, navigated using arrow buttons. This approach makes learning interactive and enjoyable.

1.3 Visual Learning:

The lesson visually illustrates the concept of the Least Common Multiple, building upon the student’s existing knowledge of multiplication.

1.4 Progress Tracking:

A progress bar at the bottom shows how much of the lesson is left, helping students manage their time effectively.

2️⃣ Exploring an i-Ready Quiz

Example: Least Common Multiple Quiz for Grade 6 (Level 5)

1️⃣ Audio Support:

Quizzes come with audio guidance, providing clear instructions and questions for students as they begin.

2️⃣ Step-by-Step Approach:

The quiz guides students through questions, increasing or decreasing in complexity based on their answers. Wrong answers trigger corrective feedback, with the audio feature helping guide students to the right conclusion.
